Wedding Wednesdays
Cake toppers are a creative way to show your personality as a couple. If you decide on a "traditionally untraditional" topper like the one to the left, then these adorable custom toppers are made by Jenni Lind of Tempe and are sold on Etsy.com. Her store 'A Simple Start' has so many creations that I just love. She also does boutonnieres, bouquets and hair pins. I really recommend looking into her things! She also graduated from ASU (a girl after my own heart)

The topper to the right is just perfect for a fun, playful couple looking to shake up their cake a little bit. Especially with having their photographer take a similar picture. I found this while browsing wedding blogs and I think that it's an idea I'll try and remember for my self. It's an important part of the wedding when everyone turns to watch the couple cut the cake and whisper about it. You want your guests to love it! That what its about..... LOVE!

Grammys
Last night was the 53rd Grammy Awards and as always, it was truly a spectacle to watch. This year I think that they tried to "young it up." Between the stage decor & the graphics when they showed the nominees it screamed "we're trying something new." Setting the decorations aside, I think that the event as a whole was pretty awesome.
All of the performances were huge, over the top & memorable. Katy Perry allowed us into her very personal wedding video and Lady Gaga was "reborn" on stage. Mumford & Sons, Arcade Fire and The Avett Brothers showed their stuff and brought a new genre to the stage. Lady Antebellum were big winners and seemed pretty shocked to be recognized. Justin Bieber & Ushers performance along with Bruno Mars' were the best of the night. Two big (surprising) upsets were the winners of Best New Artist and Album of the Year. This is not saying both Esperanza Spalding and Arcade Fire aren't talented, but I don't think this year was for them. She out won some of this years best new artists like Mumford & Sons, Drake and Justin Beiber. Just saying.....
Moving on to more fun things... like clothes! A few of my favorites of the night were Kelly Osbourne (minus the hair), Heidi Klum and Selena Gomez. Heidi looks like a Gold-Grecian-Goddess. What a classy dress? She was gold head to toe(nails, according to husband Seal) This is a big improvement from the Golden Globes and what a better way to show up to the Grammys than to look like one. Kudos to Klum.
Purple is one of my favorite colors and what a way to bring in the spring season. Kelly is looking awesome and this dress shows that off in the best ways. The only thing i would change is her hair. The Grammys are fun but this looks like bed-head.
Selena is looking FAB. Just the right mixture of tween queen and grown up style. Her long hair balances the subtle cleavage and fancy curves. In my opinion she handled the evening very well because she couldn't escape the Beiber comments. From Ryan Seacrest on the Red Carpet -to- announcing him as a nominee on stage, you can't say that was a coincidence?
Over all, I think it was an interesting night. Definitely news worthy... I love award season! Bring on The Oscars.

Never Say Never
So I went to see the new Justin Beiber movie last night and to say the least, opening night was crazy. From screams, to tears, to dance parties. I have never seen anything like it. He really does have die hard fans. These girls (& guys) are just so obsessed and I was thinking... it was not like this when I was younger. It's not comparable to the obsessions of *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys. Its a whole new level & its fun to see. It was hard not to laugh at some parts though. Girls literally sobbing at the sight (or thought) of him. "I think about him 99%.....of my life," one girl said. And during their "One Less Lonely Girl" tradition they struggled to keep it together on stage. However, I would probably lose it too if i was on stage at MSG.
The movie itself was AWESOME. I was really pleasantly surprised at how well done & inspirational it was. (let alone how cute he is). Seeing his road to the top of teen pop was interesting and I learned quite a few things that I didn't know before, which I think is what he intended. Good Job Justin & Keep it UP!
... yes, I think I have Beiber Fever.
